Cherlyn Legere is the Adoption Coordinator and Administrative Person for the Rescue

Together Cherlyn & Delaine have five dogs of their own. A German Shepherd(Stitch), A German Shepherd X (Journey), A Pom-Poo(Sir Winston) and of course two Bassets...Hooper & Dudley.
With Delaine's extensive travel throughout the province he has been able to transport several dogs in and out of the rescue.

By the way Dudley joined their family originally as a foster. He had failed his behavior assessment at the SPCA and was deemed unadoptable to the general public. Thankfully, the SPCA called us at Basset Rescue and Dudley was given a second chance. With lots of dedicated love and training he has become the wonderful family member he is today. Dudley often accompanies Cherlyn on many of her Rescue duties.
He is living proof that all dogs deserve a second chance even those with behavior issues!

Lynne & Jeff Kaiser are our main dedicated foster home. They share their home with their permanent hounds Isis and Rupert. Rupert came into rescue very thin and in need of some tender loving care. Lynne was all over it and Rupert made up his mind that he was there to stay.
Lynne & Jeff have taken in many a sorry soul. Cleaned them up, helped in getting them healthy and ready for their new adoptive families. And most importantly give them TONS of love which helps the dogs to realize that life can be really good!
Lynne is also a secondary contact when I am unavailable. As well her and Jeff are part of the team that helps coordinate our annual Basset Rescue Romp and Race.

Michelle & Keith Randall are also a dedicated foster home. They are the loving humans to their basset Olive whom came down as a rescue from the States.
They have been fostering now for a few years and have helped several dogs go onto find their furever homes. They have taken in several a rambunctious pup and we all know the patience that takes :).
Michelle and Keith are also part of the team that helps coordinate our annual Basset Rescue Romp and Race. Michelle is the contact person for vendors that wish to participate in the event.

Lorraine & Bill Vanveelen have been a caring foster home to several of our senior dogs. They are the home to three fantastic senior hounds. Brandi, Sadie and Maggie.
It takes lots of compassion and patience when fostering the seniors doG bless them!
They to are part of the team that helps coordinate our annual Basset Rescue Romp and Race. Lorraine is also the coordinator and contact person for our silent auction.

Along with all that, as a team we work together to assure all the dogs that come into rescue go on to find their furever homes. This consists of doing home checks, reference checks. meet and greets answering any questions adopters may have in regards to adopting our dogs.
